Center’s Youth

The Youth Group at Center Presbyterian are involved in a number of   projects to benefit the community.  They raise money by staging the “Haunted House” which in turn is used to give out fruit baskets during Thanksgiving and food baskets at Christmas time to the needy in our community.  They also provide financial assistance when they hear of families that need a helping hand.  They organize souper bowl Sunday, collecting canned goods for the needy.

The youth meet regularly on Sunday’s at 4:30 p.m.  They play games and their bible lessons begin at 6:00 p.m.  They play in local volleyball and baseball tournaments.  The Church has a new basketball court, thanks to the youth coordinators, and this helps to attract young people to help with the youth program.

They have participated in the annual Tellico Plains Christmas parade by entering a religious themed float, decorated by the children, and have won first place several times.

At Easter time they organize an Easter egg hunt for the little children.  Educational trips are taken throughout the year and they have “fun through the Lord”.
